Plinky Witch and the Happy Haunted House is a whimsical tale about a first-time homebuyer who finds out that her house is occupied by a group of mischievous ghosts. They are determined to scare Plinky Witch away, but she isn’t afraid of them and has no intention of leaving. With Halloween just around the corner, Plinky and the ghosts don’t agree about how spooky the house should look. Fellow members of the Happy Broomsticks Club, Glitch, BIrdie, Alora, Colette, and Gracie, get involved, but Plinky Witch is able to think of a solution that pleases everyone.
The stunning backgrounds shown in this book are actually photographs of a dollhouse built in 1971 by the author’s parents, Roy and Sally Lehman. Everything is scaled one inch to the foot. Eighteen small images of the dollhouse rooms are included at the end of the book. These display the rooms and miniatures from different angles.
This book is part of the PlinkyWitch Series and is appropriate for all ages.
